From 29 March to 31 January, the course instructor conference for the 25th CEPA Special Course 2019 was held in the Czech Republic in the Bohemian Forest near Šumava.
The course instructors and border police experts from the 7 CEPA countries planned the course and contents for the 25th Special Course in 2019 in the CEPA countries "Czech Republic, Germany, Slovenia and Austria". This course will also be celebrated as an anniversary course, as this CEPA activity has already been successfully organized in Europe for 25 years.
The CEPA Special Course will last 4 weeks and offer space for a total of 24 participants. The participants will be sent from the 7 CEPA countries. The course duration of 4 weeks requires that at 3 locations of the course in each case 2 CEPA countries will be responsible for the contents and that in the last week Austria will additionally organize the ceremonial conclusion of the course.
The course will be opened on 16 September 2019 in the Czech Republic at the Holesov location and will be ceremoniously concluded on 11 October 2019 in Vienna. The 25th anniversary of this course will also be celebrated in Vienna.
In the course of the training, experts from the CEPA countries will present the latest trends and methods in the fight against border police crime to the participants. The focus will be on international and regional cooperation. Current illegal migration will also play a special role. Technical and new border surveillance measures will round off the programme. The focus will be on the workshop entitled "Border control and surveillance", which will challenge the participants during the 4 weeks. At the end of the training, the participants will present their results on this workshop topic to an international audience of experts.
